The garment is laid flat and measured straight across the front from underarm to underarm. That measurement is then doubled to calculate the full garment-bust circumference shown in the chart. These are finished garment measurements—not body measurements.

US-size conversions are estimates. The Run Around Dress/Tunic is intentionally designed with a generous oversized fit, and the fabric has slight stretch.
